LIMITED WARRANTY – ENGINE REBUILD SERVICES
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This warranty forms part of the service agreement between the customer and Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. and is incorporated by reference into all estimates, work orders, invoices, and Terms & Conditions of Repair issued by Powerhouse Jeeps Inc.
By authorizing any work, the customer acknowledges that they have received, read, understand, and agree to this warranty, whether provided in physical, electronic, or posted format, including in-shop signage, and that it is binding upon authorization of any work.
1. WARRANTY COVERAGE
This warranty is provided by Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. for engine rebuild services performed on the vehicle identified on the corresponding invoice.
This warranty is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion of the engine rebuild service.
Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. warrants that the engine rebuild services performed shall be free from defects in workmanship for the duration of the warranty period.
During this period, Powerhouse Jeeps Inc., at its sole discretion, will repair or rectify any defective workmanship directly related to the engine rebuild service at no charge to the customer.
This warranty applies strictly to the engine rebuild service only.
Warranty coverage applies only where a failure is determined by Powerhouse Jeeps Inc., at its sole discretion, to be the result of defective workmanship.
Any failure determined to be caused, in whole or in part, by external factors, including but not limited to installation, maintenance, fluids, operation, misuse, environmental conditions, or components not supplied or installed by Powerhouse Jeeps Inc., is not covered under this warranty.
This warranty does not guarantee performance characteristics, fuel economy, or suitability for any particular use beyond the correction of defective workmanship.
2. PARTS WARRANTY
All new or replacement parts installed in connection with the engine rebuild service are subject solely to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, if any.
Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. makes no independent warranties, express or implied, with respect to such parts.
Manufacturer warranties apply to the part only and expressly exclude all labour, including but not limited to removal, installation, diagnostics, and related services.
All labour costs associated with any parts warranty claim are the sole responsibility of the customer.
3. WARRANTY CONDITIONS
This warranty is valid only if all of the following conditions are met:
• The vehicle is operated under normal use and conditions
• All required maintenance is performed and documented
• Engine oil and filter changes are completed every 5,000 kilometers using engine oil meeting manufacturer specifications or as otherwise specified by Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. for the specific engine build
• Any concern or abnormal operation is reported immediately, and the vehicle is not driven if a mechanical issue is suspected
• Continued operation of the vehicle after a known or suspected issue will result in denial of warranty coverage where such operation contributes to further damage
Failure to comply with these conditions will result in denial of warranty coverage where such failure contributes to the condition or damage.
The customer is responsible for providing proof of maintenance and compliance with all warranty conditions upon request.
4. ENGINE OIL, FILTERS & ADDITIVES
Engine oil must meet manufacturer specifications or as otherwise specified by Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. for the specific engine build.
For Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. engine builds, 5W30 engine oil is recommended unless otherwise specified in writing.
Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. may specify an alternative oil type or viscosity based on engine clearances, operating conditions, or performance requirements.
Where an alternative oil specification is provided, it shall supersede manufacturer recommendations for the purposes of this warranty.
Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. recommends the use of high-quality engine oils such as Castrol Edge or Castrol GTX.
Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. does not recommend the use of Royal Purple engine oil in its engine builds. Use of oils not recommended or specified by Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. may result in denial of warranty coverage where such use contributes to engine damage.
Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. recommends the use of high-quality oil filters such as K&N or Mopar, or equivalent filters meeting OEM specifications and quality standards.
Where an oil additive is used, only Lucas Original Oil Stabilizer (conventional, white bottle) is approved for use with Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. engine builds.
Failure to use the oil specification provided by Powerhouse Jeeps Inc. may result in denial of warranty coverage where such use contributes to engine damage.
Use of oils, filters, or additives that do not meet required specifications, or that contribute to improper lubrication, contamination, seal degradation, or engine damage will result in denial of warranty coverage where such use contributes to a failure. Powerhouse Jeeps Inc., at its sole discretion, reserves the right to determine whether any oil, filter, or additive contributed to engine damage.
5. BREAK-IN REQUIREMENTS
During the first 1,000 kilometres following engine rebuild:
• Avoid high RPM operation, full throttle, or heavy load/towing
• Perform an oil and filter change between 500–1,000 km
Failure to follow these procedures will result in denial of warranty coverage where such failure contributes to damage.
